How it works

A giveaway whose winner looks hand-picked breeds exactly the distrust that kills the next one. This tool exists so the draw is visibly fair: paste a list of comments, and it draws one winner at random, with a result you can publish as proof. Paste in either format — one comment per line, or name and comment separated by a colon, so the winner's comment shows on the reveal card. Copy the comments from your video, paste them here, and there is no YouTube connection or sign-in involved at any point.

Fairness is built into the draw in three places. First, the list is cleaned before anyone can win: blank lines and exact duplicate lines are removed, so one enthusiastic commenter cannot flood the draw by posting twenty times. Second, the one-entry-per-person option (on by default) limits repeat commenters to a single entry each, which is the fair way to run most giveaways; turn it off only if you genuinely want every comment to count. Third, an optional keyword filter limits the draw to comments containing a specific word, which is how "comment X to enter" giveaways are run honestly — everyone who followed the instruction is in, everyone else is out, and the eligible pool is displayed before the draw so entrants can see exactly who could win.

The pick itself uses your browser's cryptographic random generator, not the animation. The name drum rolls for a couple of seconds because a draw should feel like a draw, but the winner is chosen with cryptographic randomness before the drum starts, and the reveal lands even if the tab was frozen mid-draw. After the draw, the winner card offers three things: copy the result as a ready-to-post announcement, draw a new winner, or remove the winner and redraw — useful when a winner is unreachable or ineligible. The copy-ready snippet states the winner, the winning comment, and how many eligible entries the draw came from, which is the whole proof in one paste.

Run the giveaway itself with the same discipline: announce the entry rule before comments open, keep the keyword if you use one, and publish the result where entrants can see it. Nothing you paste ever leaves your browser, so the comment list is not stored, shared or sent anywhere; closing the tab ends the session. If every pasted line gets filtered out, the tool says so plainly instead of drawing from an empty pool — loosen the keyword filter or paste more comments and draw again.

Frequently asked questions

Is the draw really random?

Yes. The winner is picked with your browser's cryptographic random generator. The spinning-name animation is theatre; the pick itself is made before it starts.

Can one person win twice by commenting many times?

Not by default. Duplicate lines are removed and the one-entry-per-person option limits repeat commenters to a single entry each.

Does it connect to my YouTube account?

No. You paste the comments yourself, with no login and no connection to any account. Nothing you paste leaves your browser.

What if every entry gets filtered out?

The tool tells you nobody can win this draw instead of picking from an empty pool. Loosen the keyword filter or paste more comments.
